Broken tears

*BROKEN TEARS*

CHAPTER ONE

Mr and Mrs Akintunde Williams have been copulated for twelve years with full happiness from their well wishers, but, most time sadness governed their minds because they were yet to have evidence of their copulation. After waiting on God, their long awaited prayer was answered as the arrival of the new bouncing baby boy came but, unfortunately they owner of the soul claimed it back.  Mourns governed their home, people consoled her including her husband, they were all trying their best to make her forget the awful incident an wipe away her sorrows.  Her husband Akintunde an affluent businessman owns big companies that he could afford anything they desire.
While he was in office attending to some files on his desk, his phone rang, it was his mother calling, abruptly he picked it up with wonder in his face "why did she called". She said to him she did be coming to the city to seee him for a vital issue, he knew she was coming to discuss with him about his wife who was unable to give birth, he told her that she should wait on God till He answer their prayer. But mama Akintude nodded in disapproval that she is in haste to see her grandchildren before her dissolution,  but after little persuasion she gave in.

   *CHAPTER TWO*

Weeks after,  mama Akintunde turned up without  notifiying her son, but this time she was really serious and mean about her discuss with Akintunde,  she came with the "olori ebi" family head and a young  beautiful maiden from the village. Akintunde saw this and he knew trouble was knocking around,  he called out his wife Bisi to welcome them, pleasantly she did.
Minutes after, they gathering was just silence as a graveyard,  Akintunde broke the  decorum and said "mama you are yet to tell me the reason behind the unpremeditated meeting upon my abode" mama Akintunde replied "we are here because of your wife inability to birth us another baby and this new lady "ronke"is your new wife, Akintunde spurned his face in anger at the same time in pity because of his wife Bisi, his legs formed beats on the ground like the legs of soldiers ready for war,  his head nodded in news, grumbled for he disapproved his mother command despite that Bisi his wife accepted the new wife "ronke" though with pain raiding her inner mind covered with mint of smile outer. Akintunde was surprised, bisi told him not to worry but he is still unhappy with that.
He loves his wife despite her barrenness , the marriage ceremony was arranged and planned for the new wife and it auger well

*CHAPTER THREE*
Four months later,  ronke, the new wife was four months gone and after the terminus period for the pregnancy she birthed two bouncing girls "twin" they were so much identical and cute. Akintunde loved them both and took care of them very well.
Four months later,  Bisi was also five months gone after her terminus period she also gave birth to a boy, happiness looms around, Akintunde was more full with joy that God later answered their prayer, but the arrival of the new baby drew a battle line between the wives.
Ronke started behaving aberrantly to her senior wife but Bisi turned deaf ears and spurn her behavior but ronke will never resist. She went on to plot an evil plan against the baby so as to eliminate him but the herbalist told her the baby was never destined to die young but to live till old age,  she was never satisfied,  she had to pay the bigger devil a visit and became it bones and dice,  she was told to mix a powdery substance given to her with her husband food.
On the day to carry out the evil plot, she pretended to fall sick and handed the cooking duty to the senior wife,  bisi unknown to her about the disastrous plot gladly accepted the offer,  bisi  out in the kitchen to answer her crying baby was an awful and awesome chance for ronke's plot to be  executed ,  she mixed the substance  without any traces and went back into her room,  bisi came back stirred up the food together and served her husband,  Akintunde devoured the food to it fill happily.

Few days,  Akintunde started to  show signs of an unknown mild illness,  he was rushed to the hospital after some days the doctor was unable to detect the cause and what kind of illness it was,  he was then conveyed to the village where native doctors would take good care of him,  but unfortunately he didn't get to the village before he gave up the ghost and was given a befitted funeral.

*CHAPTER FOUR*

Bisi and her son were booted out of her matrimonial home by Ronke and the late relatives, accusing her that she killed late Akintude , out of shame Bisi went out with her four months old son "wale' to her village.

Ronke knew what she had done and her avarice spirit doesn't want any rival to contest with her and her husband's wealth.
Bisi engaged herself in a petty job to make her and wale survive, she fried bean cake and wale her grown up son hawked,  while hawking wale would see other children going to school and he would love to, but as soon as he remember the financial state of his mother he would  just keep the thought to himself and continue to help his mother. People would ask wale about his father and he would tell them he had no father,  but when he gets home, he would asked his mother and all she does was to shed tears, he would then console her and promise not to ask her the same question again.

After some days,  Bisi decided to tell wale the story of his father and how they ended up living in the village,  wale said with tears "How sad it is,  what would have become of him if his father was still alive.

*CHAPTER FIVE*

One day,  wale was hawking and deep in thought about the lost of his father,  unknown to him was an incoming vehicle,  before he could realize it was to late to dodge the speedy car and it hit him into an unconscious state.  He was rushed to the hospital by the driver,  immediate adequate treatment was given to him and after some days he recovered but was yet discharged.  The driver whose car hit him was the son of the state governor "chukuwuemeka", he paid his balance and wale was discharged, but before he went home,  chukuwuemeka questioned wale about his life affairs , he narrated everything to him with tears rolling down his cheeks,  chukuwuemeka felt pity and decided to help him.  Wale narrated everything to his mother and how chukuwuemeka decided to help them, their home was filled with joy.

Days after, wale started schooling though an embarrassment it was to him in his First Class, he was the eldest amidst young children though he wasn't after that, wale was determined to attain success he started reading, burning candles at night to read.  Wale became one of the best student in his school and was given scholarship for free schooling in secondary school. He  maintained his brilliant result and was also given scholarship to study medicine abroad. Bisi was so happy for wale.

*CHAPTER SIX*

Things were not auguring well with Ronke at home, after she and her two had extravagantly spent their hoarded wealth.   A mild illness visited her as she had no money to take care of herself,  she had to sell most of her husband properties including the house She lived in just to recover but all were proved effortless.

Few days later,  Ronke died leaving her children to harvest her awful trespasses.  The two girls went through lot of objurgated phases they had no where to go but to go cap in hands.

After five years,  wale was back from abroad, he was so happy to meet his mother in a good health and also his messiah Mr.  Chukuwuemeka was also happy to see Wale again.
Wale worked at the government hospital as a great personnel, also the best Doctor in the hospital,  he worked there for years till he accumulated some money to build his own hospital,  he also built schools in his village also clinics,  his mother Bisi was not left out in a beautiful mansion,  wale was loved by all.

One day,  wale was driving when he came across two beautiful girls begging for money,  he alighted to give them some money but to his surprise the two girls "Adesewa and Adenike" called out his name.
Bubbles of surprise churned his face, how did they got to know him?  he was so happy though still surprised,  so he took them into his car,  off they went to his house where his mother lived.
When they got home, Bisi was also surprised to see the two girls looked shaggy,  she welcomed them and they were also surprised to see their step mother, but sadness never stoped to rule them.  They told her about their story including that of their mother, Bisi felt pity for them. She then told wale about the two girls,  he was happy to hear he heard sisters.  Wale took good care of them and helped them set up a business they could do for survival, they were glad to see their brother and things went well for them.

Years later,  wale got married and was blessed with four beautiful children,  his sisters also got married and were blessed with children and bliss of hearts loomed in the Akintunde family again, also  tears advertised it saline solution on their faces,  "how they wish their father were still alive and Ronke".

Village Life

°°°°°Village Life °°°°°

Village Life;
We are drinking
from stream water
Eating In a place
that's filled with winter.

Village Life;
We are just slumbering
On our sleeping-bag
Without suffering.

Village Life;
We are all smiling
And burning
Without crying
Because our crops
Are splashing green-leaves.

Village Life;
When the Sky
Has cock the black
We congregate ourselves
For telling different stories.

Village Life;
If I want to go and meet
Ololufe mi (My lover)
Agbeke. I would hold
Stones, trowing It to their roof.
Hearing that, Agbeke mi
Would know that I'm around.

_The Prisoners' right to vote.*_

*_The Prisoners' right to vote.*_
By: *Olokooba Omobolaji Abdulwasiu(olokson_the_eminent)*

Before he gave up to the ghost, Jose Marti, a communist, once said "The first duty of a man is to think for himself". Without missing words, honestly, if I say I had known the man's intent for this prophesy if not until now that I am writing this; I might turn to be an inmate.

It is no more a news that Nigerians; we are almost near the cusp of authoring what may be the faith of this great land for some years to come. The time when every qualified adult citizens of this country will be allowed to choose, with their one finger respectively, the candidates they dislike least to eventually lead this country for certain fixed years.

Against that background, we, Nigerians, are fond of weaving a fiction that lacks credibility that 'our votes is not matter in an election because it won't be counted'. What a cheapened ignorance of us! Indeed, if our votes is not matter in deciding the election, why will the cabal always campaigning their manifestoes vigorously to us? Or why will they be using millions of naira to buy votes even when knowing fully well that same are not matter in the leaders? Definitely, like all fakes, that fiction will soon fade in our midst.

Metaphorically, Are we not callous fellows for contending weather it is ideal or not if our sisters and brothers in prisons are granted their birth rights to elect who will be their leaders in their own country?

As a matter of law, it is no more a disputatious fact that the whole provisions of section 30 of Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria(CFRN), 2011 as amended, specifically inoculates and immunises any citizens by birth from its application. Hence, it can be authoritatively asserted that conviction does not take away one's citizenship. And once you are still a legal member of a country; you are entitled to elect the candidate of your choice during election.

Similarly, I will vehemently commend the decision of the Court of Appeal sitting in Benin city, Edo state, for affirming the prisoner's right to vote in the election on Friday, 7th December, 2018.

Doubtlessly, I humbly align myself to the opinion of President Aigbokhan of the Initiative for Rural Development, Information and Legal Advocacy (IRDILA) that prison inmates have their own communities and polling units should be allocated to there because they also have right to vote in an election to author the future of their country. This right is in line with provisions of both section 77(2) and 132(5) of CFRN, 2011as amended.

Truly, if franchise is given to the prisoners, attention will be focused and shifted to their community which will utimately improve their situations and health conditions there.

With statistics, the population of our inmates is almost million in numbers, this could be a measure of deciding in having a good or a bad leader in this country. As Shomope Abdulrasheed, a present 300level student of Common and Islamic Law Department, University of Ilorin, has aplty said "their numbers could sway the waves of polls and thereby participating in the dawning of new era'.

Actually, I am still anxiously waiting for that day when these prisoners will be allowed to invest in the future of the country they are bound to rejoin back sooner or later. But before that time, GOD BLESS MY FATHER LAND. AMIN!

That pain

That pain.

That pain you have caused has turned to
An unforgotten pain for me.
When you stand In a jungle of fable.
You used a sugerpotted-mouth,
To Build an eventful house for me.
To sweep the floor of sadness for me.

That pain you have caused for me
Has turned the colour of water to back
While It wouldn't be able to wash-away.

That pain you have caused for me,
Has make an eye, working unstopped
Like a clock.

A pain that hurt more than nothing else
Hurt more than a pungency mooch!

I allocate my time,
I wasted my words,
I useless my edge for you to live happily
But you gave the would of heart
When there's know doctor that can heal It.
It's untouched,
It's unseen,
But, It's an everlasting gift; to me.

My Step Mother Episode 7

My Step Mother Episode 6

*MY STEP MOTHER (6)*

*BY:Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi*

Who would have stolen the document from the office of my stepmother's husband? How on earth would my parent's document belong to someone else's father? My stepmother and the gang of assassin were all silent. They were confused as to what music they would sing to the beat.

After some minutes, the gang told my stepmother's husband to find the document before another week.
They moved everybody to their place, except for my stepmother's husband whom they ordered to provide the document or else they'd kill him and his wife.

My stepmother's husband was in panic. He set out in search of a staff who stole the document from his office but he couldn't find the person. He summoned a meeting with other staff. He asked if any of them stayed away from the office when he was away but they all answered in the negative. He also asked if anybody noticed anyone enter into his office when he wasn't around but they also replied in the negative.
He informed them about the missing document and how someone who claimed to be a staff in the office called him with an anonymous number, telling him that he took a document from his office.
He (my stepmother's husband) also threatened to inform the police if they failed to provide the person.

My stepmother's husband had been in deep thought since he was unable to find the document.

Early morning of the following day, the leader of the gang of assassin called him on phone, telling him to provide the document before the following day.
His heart beat very fast. With panic written on his face, he left home for office. He had scattered everything in his office, so he decided to rearrange them. In the process of doing so, he came in contact with an unfamiliar sheet of paper.

Who would have dropped the paper in his office? What could have been the content of the paper?

My Step Mother Episode 5

MY STEP MOTHER (5)

BY:Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi

When my stepmother was asked the whereabouts of the documents, she kept looking with confusion in her eyes.

The leader of the gang of assassins asked her with an esoteric voice where her husband was. She replied that he had left the house a week back but he didn't tell her where he was going. She had also been dialling his number but had not been reachable.

Their boss asked if at all my stepmother knew any of his firm friends they could meet. She gave them information about a friend.

They went to his friend's house to kidnap him to their place. They explained the situation of things to him and advised him to cooperate with them by giving them information about the whereabouts of my stepmother's husband.

He claimed not to know anything about his whereabouts as he had been trying to reach him but to no avail.

The assassins never believed him. They tortured him to some extent and  kidnapped his wife and children. They threatened to kill his family if he refused to tell the truth.

Having been threatened by this, he confessed that his friend had traveled to another state. They got the details of where he fled to and went searching for him. Finally, he was found and they returned him home.

They got him seated, asked about the documents and without much stress, he opened up.

My stepmother's husband confessed that he was the one who stole the document but he kept it in a bag in his office. So, one day, one of his workers called him when he wasn't around that he saw a document in his office which bears his (his staff) father's name. Therefore, had taken it from the office.

My stepmother and I in unison asked who the person was because the document belonged to my father.

My Step Mother episode 4

*MY STEPMOTHER (4)*

BY:Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi

When the three hired-assassins saw me in their boss's house,
they looked at me in surprise as they had been searching for me since my encounter with them. I was also shocked when these guys referred to my helper as their boss. I kept quite when they started to  argue with my helper that they must kill me and collect the stuff from me. I asked myself, what stuff are they talking about?

They locked me in a dark room while discussing with their boss, whom I didn't know he was the leader of the group of assassins.

My helper asked them why they wanted to kill me and what stuff did they want to collect from me.

They explained to him that they were sent by my stepmother to collect a document from me and kill me immediately at a pay of two million naira. Their boss asked them if they were sure that my stepmother will pay them such amount of money and they answered in the affirmative.

He kept quite for some minutes and told these guys to come back the next day for his response, either they will kill me or not.

When they had left the house, my helper took me out from the room where I was locked. He threatened to kill me if I refused to tell him the truth.
He asked me if I actually stole the document and I made him realise I didn't.

He went out without a word. While he had left, I thought deeply about my life with my eyes full of tears. I called unto God to change my life for better, and save me from the troubles of humans.

Some hours after, their boss returned and asked me to keep calm, assuring me that they would  get my mother's documents back from my stepmother, but with a condition.

These guys and their boss went to my stepmother's house to collect the documents from her. Seeing these three guys, my step mother was so happy, hoping they had gotten the documents from me. They looked at her with their eyes as scary as that of a Lion. They asked her where the documents were but the question was a big surprise to her.

She showed her surprise by telling them that to collect the documents from me and kill me was what he assigned them to carry out.

Their boss informed her that I had no document with me but my stepmother was not pleased, claiming that she couldn't find the document in the house.  The question of who stole the documents was left unanswered.

Where are the documents?

My step mother episode 3

MY STEP-MOTHER (3)

When the hired-killers noticed I had been knocked down by a car, they ran away. I was rescued by a man who carried me to the hospital. For a week, I never opened my eyes, let alone eating.

Opening my eyes in the hospital with surprise as to what took me there, the man who took me to the hospital entered the ward I was, narrating how I got to the hospital.
I showed my appreciation and he asked me how the accident happened   but I couldn't recollect. All I could remember was only when three guys were after me which made me run.

He asked me questions about who I was and my destination but I just kept silent. He then asked about my parents and I narrated my story to him. He felt sorry for me and promised me that he is ready to fight for me in collecting my mother's property from my stepmother.
He also promised to sponsor my education, making me feel happy. He made me aware that he's yet to get married.

So, I accepted to live with him but he said he would book a room for me in the hotel before taking me to his house.

I stayed in the hotel for some weeks. I've also continued with my education as he'd promised.
He  took me to school in his car everyday and returned me to the hotel.

One day, during the weekend. I was in the hotel room when I received a call from him, informing me of his intended visit. He also told me I would be spending the weekend in his house. On hearing this, I was so excited.

Twenty minutes after, he came to  pick me up with his car in the hotel. On entering his compound, I exclaimed, seeing his beautiful house and flashy cars. I smiled and kept quiet. He invited me in and I followed.

When I entered the house, I perceived the smell of marijuana which made me cover my nose. I met three guys in his sitting room. I took a close look at them and I discovered that they were the three hired-killers sent after me by my stepmother.

My step mother episode 2

MY STEPMOTHER (2)

BY:ABDULWAHEED SOFIULLAHI

I was so amazed seeing my stepmother that I began to ask myself if it was a nightmare or a reality. Is this actually my stepmother?

Her new husband who happened to be my helper instructed me to go to my room. I sat down in my room with a load of doubt inside me. Is this not the black witch who promised to buy me mountain if I needed one? She promised to climb a tall tree for me if I wished to eat fruit. She promised to be a clear representative of my late mother. So this is where she fled to with my mother's property.

It's easy for me to disintegrate the relationship between her and my helper which was her husband by exposing her but she made this man successful using my entitlement. The thought of what to do filled my disturbed mind till I slept off.

In the middle of the night, my stepmother woke her husband up enquiring who I was and how he came about me. She asked all these questions in annoyance.
Her husband explained how he found me in a situation where I was in need of help.

She instructed her husband to send me out of their house or else, she would remind him of the situation he was before marrying her.
He pleaded on my behalf and they both agreed to take me as a house boy.

Her husband explained everything to me and asked if I would like to work for them as a house boy. I had no choice other than to accept.

I closed my eyes and remembered when my mother was alive, how she used to explain many things to me concerning life and human beings. She once said to me,
'humans are evil, my child, don't trust human beings'.

Unexpected tears filled my eyes. I could do nothing other than to pray.

Life was a living hell for me, staying with my stepmother. I don't eat regularly and other bad occurrences. Her husband always asked if I was being properly taken care of but I had to conceal the hardship I was facing.

One day, I decided to leave their place when I found the suffering no longer unbearable. I ran away.

After two months, the documents of my mother's property which was with my stepmother was missing. My stepmother blamed her husband for allowing me into the house. They concluded that definitely, I was the one who stole the documents. They searched for me as far as they could and also hired a gang of assassin to collect the documents from me and kill me.

I sat down by a busy road one day. I looked up and saw three guys pointing at me. I sensed they were after me and
I decided to run for my dear life. I wanted to cross the road but unfortunately, I was  knocked down by a car. Seeing this happen, the guys ran away.

MY STEP MOTHER episode 1

MY STEP_MOTHER (1)

By: Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi

One sunny afternoon. I came back from school, only to  notice crowd in front of my house. I've lost my beloved mother, my jewel. I was young then. She did advise and train me a lot especially in making amends to my mistakes.

She did express how handsome I was even when everyone said I was ugly.

It was like a nightmare that I never thought of it coming to pass. I was dumbfounded,  thinking about how I was going to live well without my mother. Unfortunately, I had lost my father some years back.

Some days after the death of my beloved mother, my step mother took me to live with her. She told me a lot, assuring me she would act like my  biological mother but black shall never resemble white.

One day, my step mother woke me up in the middle of the night, she told me about the property of my mother in her possession. She promised to will the property in my name when I'm through with my education.

One day, on coming  back home from school, I couldn't find my step mother at home anymore. She had run away with all the documents of property belonging to my mother. I couldn't believe my eyes. How comfortable would I had been having my mother alive. Uncontrollable tears rushed down my eyes. I sat down, thinking of where to start a new chapter, without any plan, without any solid backbone again.

I stayed homeless for four years, slept in any place manageable. I spent my life without adequate food and other provisions. I ate anything I saw around me. No more education because there was nobody to sponsor that.

Some couple of years after, I was kidnapped by some unidentified guys and they took me to another state for ritual but luckily for me, I was able to escape.

Someone who saw me after the escape asked about the situation I was, seeing how unpleasant I appeared.
He accepted me to move in with him.

He provided me with food and a cool place to rest. I narrated my ordeal to him and he sympathised with me. He also promised to take care of me.

His wife wasn't around, she travelled abroad. He told me how good and caring his wife was and how she had supported him financially in his business which made him successful.

Some days after, he came back from office at night telling me his wife will arrive the following morning. I was so elated and I eagerly anticipated his wife's arrival.

The next day, when his wife came back, I sat on a chair in the sitting room. When she entered the house, I found it hard to believe that whom the man referred to as his wife was my step mother who ran away with my mother's property.
